If You Need to Stop

Your commitment as a Soldiers' Angel ends when your soldier is mailstopped in preparation for his return home.  You may choose to adopt another soldier, but you do not have to.

However, there may come a time when for whatever reason, you feel that you cannot continue to support your soldier.  Writing to a soldier takes time and sending care packages costs money.  If you suddenly find yourself ill or caring for a sick family member or out of work, it cannot be avoided.

First of all, please notify .  I will explain your situation to the Adoption Angels, and we will match your soldier with a new Angel automatically.

You are always free to sign up for another soldier at any time, once your situation stabilizes.

In the meantime, you might consider visiting one of these fine organizations.  They allow you to send a message of support to the troops without making a long-term commitment.

Operation Dear Abby - an official project of the US Navy

To Our Soldiers - an official project of the US Army

America Supports You

Operation Iraqi Freedom - send a message to those in Iraq

National Defense Forces of Canada - because freedom is an international cause
